Description
The project is located at Baniyas East in Abu Dhabi. The project covers the construction of a single-point urban interchange to link the 2 communities East and West Baniyas on the Al Ain Road E22.
Work on the bridge project includes the construction of the upper interchange linking East and West Bani Yas and the associated roads, converting the current East Baniyas roundabout into a traffic light intersection, as well as constructing pedestrian stairs, and demolishing existing pedestrian tunnels.
The project includes the relocation and protection of water lines, communication lines, irrigation lines, and a sewage line, as well as associated works on the street lighting and electricity distribution network. The project also includes the construction of the main bridge consisting of a concrete slab and external and internal pillars, the construction of two bridges comprising one sea slab, pillars, and foundations, as well as building a closed-circuit television system, traffic lights, pedestrian signals, fiber-optic cables, and linking the roads to the emirate’s Traffic Management Centre. The design and construction include environmental sustainability standards and have been carrying out the project in accordance with the highest international standards, by applying best practices to preserve natural resources, protect the environment and reduce energy consumption, and monitor quality processes during the implementation of the project.
